Aggregate: A broad category of coarse particulate material used in construction, including sand, gravel, crushed stone, slag, recycled concrete, and geosynthetic aggregates.
Drain Rock: Coarse aggregate, approximately 1" in size. May be washed or unwashed according to individual needs & specifications and does not compact. Used for drainage purposes, walkways, and driveways.
Base Rock: Often a main load-bearing layer of stone. Its role is to provide a foundation and to spread the load evenly. The quality of the base is very important for the life of a driveway, roadway or platform. |
